Marisa Ford is a financial advisor and environmentalist, with over eight years of experience specializing in retirement planning for individuals and workplace retirement plans. Marisa is a Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor, with a focus on managing 401k relationships, supporting plan sponsors, and delivering clear, practical education to participants.
Marisa obtained her B.A. in Economics from Stonehill College, with a special interest in environmental and political economics. She provides full picture financial planning for her personal clients, helping them navigate everything from investments and retirement to cash flow and long term strategy beyond their workplace plans. For clients who prioritize values based investing, she incorporates ESG factors into their portfolios, while keeping the primary focus on their long term financial goals.
In her spare time, Marisa leads a volunteer community cleanup organization called We Clean Trails. Since 2020, the group has been able to remove over 60,000lbs of litter from San Diego County. Marisa was honored by the County of San Diego for her work with We Clean Trails with the 2020/2021 Park Ambassadorship Award.
Marisa is also a member of the San Diego Wave Season Ticket Member Advisory Board, a board member of the Mesa Heights HOA, and the treasurer for SD Enviro voters.
A fun fact about Marisa is that she was crowned Miss Earth USA 2021 and represented theUnited States at Miss Earth, where she finished in 2nd place out of 89 countries. Miss Earth is an annual international pageant that advocates for environmental awareness, conservation, and social responsibility. With the environmental scholarship she received through this competition, she was able to expand her We Clean Trails efforts nationally.
